Owen is 11 months!

I can't talk about Owen's first birthday next month without tearing up. I can not believe my baby will be one already. It doesn't seem like a whole year has gone by. But- for now he is still 11 months and although it won't I'd really like this next month to go very slowly! Here are some 11 month pictures...

He is taking a lot more steps on his own lately, but he still loves this push toy. He will do laps around the house with it!

His hair is starting to grow back and I like it a lot better now!

Outside in the leaves.

Crawling to the leaves to try to eat them!

Playing in the leaves.

Cute Pics

It was a nice day today, so the kids and I went outside to finish the raking. We had one last romp in the leaves. I took some pictures and thought these were cute...

This pose was all Arilyn's idea. Addison was sitting with Owen and Arilyn said- Mommy, take this picture! She then proceeded to tell Addison where to sit. It was so cute and the picture turned out really cute, too! I think it might be a sign that I take too many pictures though- my 5 year old is coming up with poses!

I thought this was really cute. Addison will play with Owen, but not as often as Arilyn does. Addison was sitting in the leaves playing with him and laughing.

This was after we came in from playing with the leaves. I was talking to my mom on the phone and cooking dinner while the girls were coloring quite nicely at the table...so I thought! Addison was coloring nicely on her face! And her hands. And her arms. She said she wanted to be like a rock star. I had a hard time yelling at her because I was laughing so hard! At least they were washable and it all came off.

Owen's First At Home Haircut

Owen's hair really needed cut again, so we decided to try to do it at home. I'm not sure we'll be doing it again! It looks cute, just a lot shorter than I think we were anticipating. He doesn't seem to mind and had fun while Shawn was doing it.

At first Owen kept turning his head around to look at the clippers, but then the girls and I kept him occupied by toys and stuff. I was surprised he never cried or acted scared at all.

Shawn the barber.

And the end result. Where did my baby go? Shawn and I agree that it's a little too short on top so hopefully it'll grow back fast! He's still the cutest baby ever though!

Movie Night

I decided to have the first ever Campbell family movie night last night. We went out and got Toy Story 3 and some popcorn. After dinner, we blew up an air mattress, got in our jammies and watched Toy Story. The girls were so excited. Shawn took them to see it in the theaters, but I had never watched it. I missed a few minutes while I put Owen to bed, but overall it was pretty good. We will definitely have more movies nights!

Everyone watching the previews.

I thought this was so cute. Owen was sitting with me and then crawled to Arilyn and Addison and laid down right in between them.

Again- everyone watching the movie. It was really fun!

Owen's 1st Steps!

Owen has been getting pretty brave letting go of things while he's standing up, but hasn't taken any steps yet, so Shawn and I decided to give him some practice and he did it! He tried sitting down to crawl at first then took a few steps! He tried again after this, but was too excited and kept swinging his arms and losing his balance. It was really cute!

Trick or Treat!

We had great fall weather for trick or treating. It was pretty cool and sprinkled for a few minutes. Oh well. The kids had a great time and even Owen enjoyed his first trick or treat experience. Ellie, however, was not too thrilled with Halloween this year. Scroll down and you'll see why!

I forgot to put these with the last post- the finished pumpkins. This is Arilyn's.

The little one on the top is Owen's- Addison's on the bottom.

The girls refused to put a coat on over their costumes, so I loaded up on the layers underneath so they look kinda puffy! They were happy and stayed warm though! Arilyn the ladybug.

Addison the puffy princess.

And the lion! I did put a hat on under his mane after the pictures were over- I think he was a little too toasty. He was very warm when they got back.

And here's our Ellie! She is a stuffed, mounted moose! We saw this on clearance at Target and had to get it. Ellie was not super happy about it, but she left it on. She sat outside with me the whole time passing out candy and had it on the whole time.

"I can't believe you're doing this to me."

"I'm not looking at you anymore!"

Waiting patiently after ringing the doorbell.

They were so polite! They both said trick or treat and then said thank you without prompting.

I got creative for Halloween, too. These are cake pops and they are so yummy! They are cake mixed with icing dipped in chocolate. Can't go wrong with that combo! I decorated them like mummies. Very fun.

Fall Fun

We have a ton of leaves that have fallen. It happens so fast! So we did some raking and the kids played in the piles. We finally found time to carve our pumpkins on Halloween. It seems like that is becoming a tradition to wait until Halloween day. The kids had a lot of fun cleaning them out!

I love this picture!

Arilyn wanted me to take a picture of her with the rake. She was 'helping' me rake!

Arilyn in the leaves. She loves having her picture taken, can you tell?

Addison- not so much! She was posing in the leaves.

Then Arilyn kept throwing leaves on her. She liked that better than picture taking.

Owen's first experience in the leaves. He liked it, but kept trying to eat them. He would sputter like he was in water when the girls dropped leaves on him. It was pretty funny.

Excited and swinging his arms at the leaves.

Addison cleaning out her pumpkin.

Eww! She didn't like it at first and said she wanted me to clean it out, but then she liked playing in the pumpkin guts.

Arilyn loved cleaning out her pumpkin.

Thankfully there wasn't a lot of 'guts' because cleaning them out is not my favorite thing to do.

I cleaned out Owen's pumpkin then set it on his tray with a little bit of the insides (minus the seeds). He wasn't too sure at first.

It took him a little while to build up the courage to touch it.

He kept looking at me and smiling then looking at the pumpkin and laughing.

When he finally did touch it, he had fun and ended up putting everything in his mouth as usual! He didn't like the taste though.

Owen is 10 Months

This is really late, but better late than never. Owen turned 10 months while we were in Ohio and I just realized that I never posted 10 month pictures. Oops...

Happy boy in his new winter hat.

Playing with the castle. Shawn calls this outfit his jailhouse outfit. I think it's adorable!

Owen is starting to get brave and let go of things while standing up. He can stand for a few seconds before he sits down. He's taken a few mini steps, but always with help. I give it a few more weeks and he'll figure it out!
