We have a ton of leaves that have fallen. It happens so fast! So we did some raking and the kids played in the piles. We finally found time to carve our pumpkins on Halloween. It seems like that is becoming a tradition to wait until Halloween day. The kids had a lot of fun cleaning them out!

I love this picture!

Arilyn wanted me to take a picture of her with the rake. She was 'helping' me rake!

Arilyn in the leaves. She loves having her picture taken, can you tell?

Addison- not so much! She was posing in the leaves.

Then Arilyn kept throwing leaves on her. She liked that better than picture taking.

Owen's first experience in the leaves. He liked it, but kept trying to eat them. He would sputter like he was in water when the girls dropped leaves on him. It was pretty funny.

Excited and swinging his arms at the leaves.

Eww! She didn't like it at first and said she wanted me to clean it out, but then she liked playing in the pumpkin guts.

Arilyn loved cleaning out her pumpkin.

Thankfully there wasn't a lot of 'guts' because cleaning them out is not my favorite thing to do.

I cleaned out Owen's pumpkin then set it on his tray with a little bit of the insides (minus the seeds). He wasn't too sure at first.

It took him a little while to build up the courage to touch it.

He kept looking at me and smiling then looking at the pumpkin and laughing.

When he finally did touch it, he had fun and ended up putting everything in his mouth as usual! He didn't like the taste though.
