Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! Arilyn & Addison were so excited about halloween and especially trick or treating! They had a great time and went to bed so easily tonight! It was great!

The princesses: Ariel and Snow White.

Arilyn as Ariel.

Addison as Snow White.

Ready to go trick or treating! Neither one of them wanted to stop and pose for this picture! They just wanted to get going.

Trick or treating.

Getting the candy.

At home- the sorting begins! Arilyn took the easy way and just dumped everything out on the couch.

Addison would look in her bag and take out one thing, then put it back. It was funny.

Arilyn found a pencil and was so excited. "Look Mommy! I got a pencil!" Shawn started laughing and joked- who gave us that? You got gipped! She didn't quite understand, but she will in a few years!

Ready for Snow!!

Last year we waited until it started snowing to look for a sled. Big mistake! We couldn't find one anywhere! So this year, I decided to get it early. I found one at Walmart today and now the girls can't wait for it to start snowing!

They were so excited and pretended they were sledding.

More sledding.

Being silly and laying on each other.

Pumpkin Cakes

I found some cheap pumpkin shaped cake pans, so I baked some cakes and let the girls have at it with the icing. They had a good time and didn't get as messy as I thought they would.

Just starting out- not too bad!

Arilyn getting a big scoop of icing!

More icing.

Addison working hard on her cake.

The finished products. (After I smoothed things out and put faces on.) Arilyn and Addison had a great time and they tasted pretty good, too!

Addison's Pumpkin Hayride

My MOPS group had a field trip to a farm yesterday. Unfortunately, Arilyn was at preschool and didn't get to come, but Addison and I had a great time. It was a beautiful day and Addison really enjoyed her 'mommy time' and getting to do something special all by herself.

Addison looking at the goats.

Watching the baby cows eat.

We got to feed the goats. Addison was not scared at all. She was so excited to feed them.

Trying to feed the goats.

It was a little chilly when we first got there, but it did warm up and we took off the hat and gloves. On the hay ride, we went around this big lake. It was so pretty. The picture doesn't show the true colors of the leaves- they were so vibrant.

Pumpkin Carving

We got some pumpkins last week and carved them. The girls had a blast and they both loved playing in all the pumpkin guts and seeds.

Arilyn helping Daddy clean out the pumpkin.

Addison helping and almost disappearing into the pumpkin!

Playing with the insides.

Shawn was being silly, as usual and would scrape the inside of the pumpkin, then make a throwing up sound like the pumpkin was puking. Then dump all the insides on the table. The girls thought it was hilarious!

Arilyn had fun playing with the insides, but she didn't like how it smelled. This was her throwing stuff down because of the smell.

The finished products. Arilyn wanted a silly face and Addison wanted the kitty cat.

The girls with their pumpkins. Arilyn doesn't look happy, but this is how she wanted her picture taken. She kept tilting her head to the side like that.

Another Transition

We only have 3 bedrooms in our house, so Arilyn and Addison are going to share a room when Owen arrives. We decided to start the transition now so that they are used to it by the time Owen is here and have moved Addison into Arilyn's room. They were both very excited. I, however, was not so excited. I thought it would be a tough transition and I was right. Addison, who was the best sleeper ever, has transformed into a horrible sleeper! It's only been 6 days since we moved her in, so I'm hoping things will get better soon!

Pictures of the rearranged room. I finally hung Arilyn's name on the wall.

Addison's side of the room.

Both beds. Addison's little toddler bed looks tiny next to Arilyn's bed!

The first night- finally both girls are asleep.

This is how I found them one morning. Apparently Addison thinks Arilyn's bed is more comfy.

Ellie didn't lose her spot in the room. She was looking at me like I was crazy when I was taking pictures while the girls were asleep.

Atlanta Trip

My mom is the greatest mom ever! She flew to MA from OH to watch Arilyn & Addison so that Shawn and I could get away. We are considering moving to Georgia when we're done in MA, so we went down there to check things out. It was so nice to get away. We had a great time and Georgia is definitely high on the list.

And this is reason #1! haha! Chick Fila's are everywhere in GA! It was awesome. As soon as we got our rental car, we programmed the GPS to take us to the nearest Chick Fila. We didn't realize it until we got there, but we just happened to go to the very first Chick Fila ever! It was great.

CNN has an Atlanta headquarters, so since we're big CNN fans, we had to check it out. We didn't go on the official tour, but it was pretty neat. The gift shop had everything- you could even get CNN flip flops!

We checked out the Coca Cola museum, too. It was really neat. So much Coke stuff!

This was a really old delivery truck.

Huge Coca Cola statues from other countries.

More Coke statues.

You could even have your picture taken with the Coca Cola polar bear!

This couch was used and donated by American Idol.

There was a section where they went through the bottling process, so at the end you got to pick a bottle that was bottled in the building.

The last day we decided to go the the Georgia Aquarium. It was so neat. This was a pool that had stingrays and sharks that you could touch. It was feeding time, so we had to keep our fingers out, but it was really neat watching the stingrays eat.

A jelly fish.

This was a really big aquarium with a ton of fish in it. The colors were amazing.

This is one of the reasons why I love the beach, but don't necessarily like swimming in the ocean! This tank is the largest in the country and was so neat! They said it's 6.2 million gallons of water.

I have no idea who these people are, but I wanted to get a picture with perspective because this fish was huge!

A neat picture of a saw nose shark.

Another huge animal- this stingray was enormous.

And the biggest fish in the ocean- the whale shark. There are four of them in this tank. They were very neat. There was a display that showed how they got the whale sharks to the aquarium. They got them from Taiwan and had them shipped to Atlanta via UPS!

Another neat picture of a whale shark. We had a great time. Thanks Mom!!
