Owen is Crawling!!

Look Out!! Owen has figured it out! Shawn was getting ready to grill tonight for dinner and I was putting dishes away from the dishwasher. The open door of the dishwasher must have been just the right motivation because Owen crawled right to it! It was so funny! He had been kind of crawling backwards for the past few days, but this was the first time he actually went forward. Once he got to the dishwasher, he thought it was pretty fun. Him and Arilyn had fun playing together. And just so you know- he didn't fall when Arilyn plays with him.

Owen is 8 Months!

Owen turned 8 months old! Where has the time gone? Owen has started doing so much. He's sitting completely on his own and really trying to crawl! He's been getting up on all fours a lot lately, but hasn't taken off yet. As soon as he figures out he can move it will be a whole new ball game for me! And the girls for that matter! Although he is not crawling yet, he definitely gets around. He's babbling a lot and has said 'dada' a lot, but never when Shawn can hear it! I did get it on video though.

Bonfire and Random Pictures

We had a bonfire the last day everyone was here and roasted the mammoth size marshmallows they have here in MA- seriously they're like the size of 4 regular marshmallows! And then just other random pictures that didn't really have a category of their own!

I bought balloons for Addison's birthday and Alyssa was rubbing it and making Owen's hair stand up! It was pretty funny and he liked it!

The girls found Grandpa's reading glasses and were putting them on. I laughed so hard at Addison! She looks SO funny!

The Spray Park

We went to our sprinkler park one day. Isaiah enjoyed this water much better than the ocean!

This yellow spray thing will spray water for a few minutes then stop. Every time it would stop Isaiah would get mad and start whining. It was really funny.

All the sprayers will turn off automatically after 15 minutes or so to save water. In order for them to come back on, there is a motion sensor that someone will go over to and put their hand in front of and it turns back on. The water turned off and Isaiah went over to the mushroom...

And then it turned on! He screamed and took off running as fast as he could! It was hilarious!

I guess I shouldn't say anything about Macenzie- here I am playing on my phone. We were taking pictures with it and emailing them to my mom!

The Beach

We are only about an hour and a half from the ocean and Lisa's kids have never been to the ocean. So we packed in the car and headed to the ocean! It was a beautiful day and everyone had a good time, well most of us. You'll see by the pictures who did not enjoy the ocean...

This lady that was sitting behind us offered to take a picture of all of us. She warned us that she wasn't a very good picture taker and she was right! She completely cut out Arilyn and Addison who were sitting by me! Oh well- she warned us!

This is about as far in as Macenzie went.

Jaden, however, loved the ocean! We had to keep telling her to come back because she was going out too far!

I thought this picture was hilarious. Jaden is running, having a good time, but look at Alyssa- there were very bold seagulls and a few were flying really close. While we were eating lunch, one came really close to our blanket and we had to throw our flip flops at it to get it to leave us alone!

Owen started crying at first when we got close to the water. I think it was just the noise. The waves were loud and the girls were screaming. It was a very crowded beach!

Addison liked the beach, too. Better than last summer when we went to NH with my brother. She did get knocked down by a couple waves. She didn't like that!

Arilyn loved the beach, too. We had to tell her to come back a few times, too.

Isaiah was not a fan of the ocean! This was his beach experience- my sister holding him.

She tried a few times to put him down, but he was not happy!

Well, terrified is a better term, I guess. He did not like it at all!
