Happy Halloween!!

Happy Halloween! We got the girls dressed up a few weeks ago to take some pictures in their costumes. They had a really good time. Arilyn had way too much fun in her Cinderella costume. She plays the part all too well! Addison just had fun running around being a pumpkin.

Our Cinderella and Pumpkin.

Arilyn having a good time playing with the pumpkins.

She looks so innocent! A perfect little princess!

This picture of Addison cracks me up! She loved her pumpkin hat.

The happy pumpkin.

A sweet sister moment-Arilyn was giving Addison a kiss.

Trick or Treating
I took the girls trick or treating while Shawn stayed at our house to pass out candy. Our street is a big circle and was the perfect street for us. It was just long enough for the girls to get their fill of trick or treating. They both had a great time...and so did I!

Arilyn was actually very outgoing during trick or treating. I guess a kid will do anything for some candy!

Arilyn wouldn't say 'trick or treat' at most houses, but she did say thank you and would say 'Happy Halloween!' It was very cute!

Probably because she has her big sister to follow, Addison caught on to trick or treating a lot faster than Arilyn. She was not shy when the candy bowl was in front of her. She'd try to grab as much as possible!!

Of course the girls had to hit up Daddy for some candy!

Let's have some candy!

Enjoying some well earned treats. But not too many- it's almost bedtime! I'm used to Dayton's trick or treating that was early. Here it didn't start until around 6:30pm! At first I thought we missed it because I didn't see anyone out, but our neighbors told us that it starts late!

Stuffed full of candy! Not really- she had a piece and a half, but she looks like she ate the whole bag!

It was a gorgeous day, but was getting chilly when we got back. Arilyn helped Daddy pass out the candy and was just as excited to hand out the candy as she was trick or treating!

Happy Birthday Baby Isaiah!!!

My sister's due date was quickly approaching and I was really hoping that she would go into labor while we were in Kentucky so I could drive up and see the baby before we flew back to Mass. Well, that didn't happen. She called me while Arilyn was getting her hair done for the wedding and said that her water broke and she was at the hospital. Unfortunately, I couldn't get away to see him, but my sister emailed me some pictures and he is adorable! Finally a boy! I can't wait to get to Ohio to see him in person! Welcome baby Isaiah!

Isaiah James Lee Gadsden was born on October 18, 2008 at 8:09pm.

He weighed 8 lbs 10 oz and was 20.5 inches long.

His proud big sisters: Alyssa, Jaden, & Macenzie (from left to right)

Isn't he adorable!!

The Wedding

Vanessa's wedding was on Saturday, the 18th and was beautiful! It was an outdoor wedding, the weather was mid 60's and sunny. She looked beautiful and the girls did really good walking down the aisle. I was in the wedding, so I don't have any good pictures of them walking down the aisle yet, but I'll post them when family members send them to me. Arilyn did awesome throwing her petals on the floor and when she got to the end of the aisle the flowers were gone and she yelled "Oh no! My flowers are all gone!" It was hilarious! Addison did really good, too and sat through the whole ceremony with Abuelo. Congratulations Vanessa & Ian!!

The bride, Vanessa, getting her hair done on the wedding day.

This is Shawn's cousin Tiffany. She's 15 and was a bridesmaid. She was so excited about getting her hair done.

Arilyn had a hair appointment, too. I wasn't sure how she was going to do, but she did awesome! She sat so still while she got her hair done!

Putting on the final touches. She had so much hairspray on her hair was not moving!

The finished product! She was so cute.

Like I said, I didn't get any pictures at the wedding, so here is Vanessa's dress during one of her final fittings. It was really pretty.

I thought this picture was so funny. This is Ian & Vanessa as they were getting ready to feed each other cake. Ian's face is hilarious! It didn't get too messy though.

The girls were everywhere at the reception, so this was the only picture I could get of them together! They looked so cute in their dresses.

This is Shawn's Aunt Jennifer. She lives in North Carolina and she hardly gets to see the girls. She wanted a picture of her with both the girls.

Addison was so funny with this mirror. She kept going up to it and starring at herself, smiling and laughing.

Daddy and his little girl.

This is where Addison & Arilyn spent the majority of the reception...on the dance floor! It was really neat. It was a big dome and they had a disco ball and those glow in the dark stars on the ceiling. The girls loved it.

Arilyn on the dance floor.

This was Addison doing the YMCA dance. The "Y" was the only move she could master!

Arilyn still on the dance floor!

Daddy dancing with his big girl. They danced for quite awhile and several people came up to me and said-you know it won't be long before he's dancing with her at her wedding! My reply- Every time I think about kindergarten I panic, please don't make me think about her wedding!!

I put Addison's pajamas on her because it was getting late and she kept tripping on her dress. That didn't stop her though, she still was all over the dance floor!

A nice picture of Shawn and I at the wedding. Shawn hasn't worn a tux in I don't know how long. He looked very nice!

Fall Fun at Grandma & Abuelo's

My sister-in-law, Vanessa, got married on Saturday, so we flew to Kentucky last Tuesday. We had a few days before the wedding to relax and have fun with Shawn's parents.

I think I jinxed myself when I bragged about how good the girls were on the plane ride to Ohio a few months ago. Things were a little different this trip. Our plane left at 7am, so the girls were up at 4:45am. It caught up with Addison on the plane and I'm sure everyone hated us because she screamed for almost 40 minutes before she finally gave in and went to sleep. Shawn took Arilyn to the bathroom and I put Addison down on the seat. She laid down and was asleep within seconds! It was a nightmare!

Arilyn sat with Shawn for the rest of the plane ride because I wasn't about to touch Addison. They both fell asleep, too.

Shawn's parents have a ton of trees in their yard and there were a lot of leaves on the ground. I raked a little pile together and the girls had a blast.

The girls were outside all day for most of the time we were there. They love being outside.

More fun outside!

I forget why, but Arilyn was put in timeout. She sat on these rocks and I thought it was cute, so I took her picture. Right after I took it, she looked at me and said "Don't take my picture! I'm in timeout!" It was really funny!

Shawn's mom just bought a new wheel barrel that is huge. The girls got a few rides and it looked like fun, so I gave it a try. It was really fun, although it gave Shawn a workout!

We haven't had a picture of just me and Shawn in a long time, so Shawn's mom took one for us while we were playing outside.

Of course, we had to get a family photo, too!

Rhonda, Shawn's mom, made a bunch of cupcakes for the wedding, so the girls were helping Grandma make them.
