Christmas

We had a great Christmas and the girls were hilarious to watch this year. I love getting presents, but that's nothing compared to watching my kids open them.

Arilyn & Addison in their Christmas pajamas- putting cookies out for Santa and carrots out for the reindeer.

Arilyn wanted to put the cookies on our wood burning stove so Santa would see them when he came down the chimney.

Owen in his Christmas jammies.

The tree Christmas morning.

Addison looking at her kaleidoscope.

Arilyn holding up a t-shirt.

Owen got a few presents, but spent most of the present opening time sitting with Daddy.

'Santa' (aka: me) had a severe lapse in judgement this year when he bought the girls recorders as a stocking stuffer. Arilyn and Addison loved them, but we had to put them away about 10 minutes after they opened them because they were playing them so loudly. I have no idea what I was thinking when I bought them!!

Arilyn opening more presents.

Addison opening another present.

Arilyn got Barbie roller skates and couldn't wait to try them out.

Owen had this cute Christmas outfit on for Christmas day, so I did a little photo shoot with him. He was almost smiling in this picture.

Another Santa outfit picture.

And another- this time I flipped the blanket over to showcase the Christmas blanket I made for him.

This one I thought was hilarious because it looks like he's laughing.

And of course, Arilyn wanted to be in the picture, too.

And then Addison was being silly and wanted to lay down on the blanket for a picture, too. She has a little tutu on that she got for Christmas.

Christmas Company

Shawn's parents and sister came to visit us for Christmas and to meet Owen. We had a good visit and were glad they could come. Here's some pictures of their visit.

Meeting Grandma Campbell.

Meeting Abuelo.

And Aunt Vanessa.

When we take a picture of Owen, Arilyn wants to get in the picture, too.

A picture of Owen with his eyes open.

Owen and his very proud big sister, Arilyn.

Grandma, Abuelo, and Aunt Vanessa took the girls outside to play in the snow while Shawn, Owen and I got to relax.

Owen Michael Campbell

Finally! Owen Michael is here! We went to the hospital on December 17th to be induced, however, when we got to the hospital, I was already in labor! The doctor didn't have to start any pitocin, Owen was ready on his own. He was born at 12:31am on December 18th. He weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces, which is a lot bigger than Arilyn (7-1) and Addison (7-9). He was 20.5 inches long. We came home from the hospital on the 20th and everyone is doing well!

On the scale to see how big he is.

The best pouty face ever.

Getting his first bath.

He wasn't liking the bath too much.

Finally, all clean and quiet.

The excited big sisters meeting Owen for the firs time.

Enjoying their McDonald's while visiting Owen.

Getting a closer look. Addison kept saying- He's so beautiful!

Owen and his three Mommies.

Snug in his carseat for the ride home.

Owen at home.

The next morning the girls couldn't wait to hold Owen.

I was taking pictures of Owen and Arilyn wanted to be in the picture, too.

Christmas Tree Hunting

We went out to find our Christmas tree today. It wasn't the greatest day- cold and rainy, but next week the high's are only supposed to be in the 20's, so we wanted to get it done. And we have this baby that is hopefully coming soon. Even though it was cold, we had a good time and now we are completely ready for Santa!

Arilyn- supposed to be finding a tree, but having a good run instead.

Addison thought this tiny tree was 'so cute.'

Finally- we found our tree!

Shawn doing all the hard work cutting it down.

The girls waiting for Shawn to cut it down! I thought they're faces were hilarious.

Helping Daddy carry it to the car.

And then the decorating begins! We just let the girls put the ornaments wherever this year.

Needless to say, only the bottom half of the tree got decorated, but the girls had so much fun. I redistributed them once the girls were in bed! (I'm not sure what the deal is with Addison's skirt. She was insistent on wearing it after dinner though)

Once the tree was decorated, the girls got their Christmas jammies on and we took some pictures. They actually were very cooperative.

Arilyn has a little crazy look on her face in this one, but I thought it was cute.

Once I was done taking picture, Arilyn wanted to take some. She's quite the photographer! I cropped this one because Addison jumped in at the last second, but it's a cute picture.

Arilyn wanted to be in the picture, too, so she had me set up the timer for her and she got the camera ready and pushed the button. I think she thought it was fun to push the button and run to sit down. It was funny and the picture actually turned out really good- a tiny bit blurry, but very cute. And everyone can get a good look at how big I really am!
