Random Pictures

These are just some random pictures from the past few weeks that I thought were cute.

When I went to buy dog food, the store had a small freezer in the dog food isle. It had ice cream for your dog, so of course I had to get some. Arilyn held it for Graysen, but I don't know who was enjoying it more!

Addison's 1st swimming experience. She spent the whole time hanging on to the side and trying to climb out. I think it was because her big sister was splashing though.

This is at a really big park by our house. Arilyn had so much fun. I love her hair in this picture.

This was a dog we met at the park. Its owner said it was born with his back legs paralyzed, so they made this wheel chair thing for him and he's as happy as can be. He was running and playing with all the kids at the park. It was really cute.

Arilyn built this tower all by herself until it got too high, then Daddy had to help her. When it fell, she was adding the 34th block!

Dr. Seuss Sculpture Garden

Dr. Seuss was born in Springfield, MA and they have a museum and sculpture garden in honor of him. It was a beautiful day, so we went to check it out.
You're not allowed to climb on the statues, so it was a task keeping Arilyn away from Horton the elephant!

This was the only picture I could get of Addison. She doesn't hold still for very long!

Arilyn was not a fan of the Grinch! She did pet the dog for a split second though.

This is a statue of Dr. Seuss himself at his drawing table. I thought it was neat with the Cat in the Hat standing behind him.

Helping Mommy Paint

This is a bookcase that is built into the wall in Arilyn's room. It was a bright fire engine red, so we painted it. Arilyn "helped" me put the second coat on. By the end we were both covered in paint, but she had a really good time. Since she was covered anyway, I had her do her hand and foot prints on a piece of paper that I'm going to frame and hang in her room.

Grandma Townsend's House

The drive to Massachusetts was going to be around 16 hours from Shawn's parents house, so we stopped at my mom's house in NE Ohio to break up the drive.

My mom has an inflatable alligator that floats in her pond. Arilyn became an alligator wrestler. I thought she was going to fall in the water a couple of times!

Arilyn enjoyed powdered donuts for dessert.

There wasn't enough room in our Pathfinder for both dogs and girls, so Ellie rode in the front of the moving truck with Shawn.

Louisville Zoo

We went to the Louisville Zoo while we were staying with Grandma and Abuelo. It was a very nice zoo and the girls had a really good time!

Arilyn in the stroller.

Addison enjoying an orange.

This elephant was really enjoying this scratch.

Arilyn loved this iguana statue.

Addison enjoyed getting out of the stroller and playing.

The girls with Aunt Vanessa

The grandparents took Arilyn and Addison on the carousel. They both loved it. Arilyn wanted to go again!

Grandma and Addison

The girls fell asleep in the zoo parking lot while I was putting the stroller in the back, so I had to get a picture!

Catching Up

I finally made myself take time from painting/unpacking to update the blog. There are a lot of random pictures from the move. We were homeless for about a week before we closed on our house in MA, so we stayed with Shawn's parents. In order to break up the 16 hour drive from their house, we stopped at my mom's house. Then I put in some pictures from fun stuff in MA. We are doing a lot of painting/remodeling right now. Shawn and his dad tore down a couple walls in the downstairs living room and put up drywall. It's starting to look like home. I'll post before and after pictures once it's all done. It looks totally different already!

At Grandma and Abuelo Campbell's house, sharing ice cubes with Ellie. (Shawn's dad is fluent in Spanish and talks to the girls in Spanish all the time, so Arilyn calls him Abuelo, which is Grandpa in Spanish)

After a bath.

Grandma and Abuelo have a big yard and long driveway. I couldn't keep Arilyn inside. She was outside most of the time!

Addison and Daddy.

This is my sister-in-law, Vanessa, and her fiance Ian. It was Vanessa birthday, so we went out to eat at this really neat restaurant right on the Ohio River. We ate outside and watched all the boats go by. It was really fun.

Finally in MA!

We're finally settled in now and for the most part unpacked. We just got our internet hooked up today, so I've felt very disconnected the past 2 weeks! Here are some pictures of packing our moving truck. More to come when I have more time!
