Christmas Morning

Finally Christmas was here. The girls were so excited, although when they came in our room in the morning they both climbed in bed and cuddled for about 15 minutes before they remembered it was Christmas morning! Then the excitement and hurry to get downstairs started. It was pretty funny!

The tree and the kids trying to be patient!

Opening the stuff in their stockings.

Ellie enjoying her rawhide present.

Owen got a lot of tools this year. One came with these goggles and he looked so funny!

Addison excited about her squinkies.

Arilyn with her Easy Bake Oven...which we had to try out as soon as the present opening was done!

This is the only thing Addison kept asking about for Christmas- a pink tutu that's all connected. She has a blue one, but the skirt is separate and it falls down. She kept this on most of the day even though it was cold- she didn't care!

Owen loved this construction bull dozer.

All three kids got these remote control cars and had several races in the afternoon.

Arilyn trying out Owen's goggles.

I think Addison is trying to pull the puppy's tooth out with Owen's pliers, but who knows!

Arilyn with her volcano kit.

More tools!

Me- trying to get the toys out of the packaging!

Shawn watching everyone play.

For the record- I did not do this! This was a picture that Rhonda took, but I thought it was funny! As usual, Ellie looks thrilled!

Arilyn with her light up hula hoop.

I know I will regret buying this, but Owen loved it, as did Arilyn and Addison. It will cause many headaches I know!

Arilyn got a game called Headbandz and it is hilarious! You wear the headband and have to try to guess what you are by asking the other players questions. It was pretty fun!

Addison trying to guess.

Owen never asked any questions, but he sure liked wearing the headband!

Addison got the game Operation and was trying to practice.

The next day, Arilyn and Shawn made her volcano. They had to mold the whole thing from clay then paint it and finally it was ready to erupt!

Owen waiting for the volcano.

It wasn't as big of an eruption as the kids would have liked it to be, but they still thought it was pretty neat!

Owen watching as it erupted.

Addison laughing at the volcano.

Ice Skating Video

I took some video while the girls were ice skating. They fell a lot, but actually didn't do too bad for their first time!

Ice Skating and Freeport

Grandma and Abuelo have been wanting to take the girls ice skating for quite awhile and there is a big indoor ice arena near us, so we went this year. It was fun and cold! The girls loved it! After ice skating we went to visit Freeport, Maine- the home of LL Bean. We had a great dinner and had fun enjoying the Christmas decorations and shopping.

The kiddos waiting for Abuelo.

Ready to start!

Off they go!

Hanging onto the wall.

Owen watching patiently.

Getting better!

Having fun!

They had these walkers to help the kids. Arilyn wanted to try it, but I think she did better without it.

Grandma and Owen being silly.

The family at LL Bean in front of the Christmas tree.

Denny and Rhonda in front of the huge boot.

The kiddos with the big boot.

The girls wanted to see the fish in the huge tank. Arilyn was being silly with the fish.

We went for a horse drawn carriage ride around Freeport. It was really fun, but REALLY cold!

And the other side.

Presents

A few days before Christmas we opened all the presents that had been sent from extended family. The kids were so excited!

A movie from Aunt Sue.

A movie for Addison from Aunt Sue.

A shirt from Grandma Townsend.

The girls got headbands from Grandma Townsend and Owen decided to try it out. And yes, that is my huge belly behind him!

Crafts from Grandma Townsend!

Cell phone from Aunt Debbie.

Barbie from Aunt Debbie.

A drill from Aunt Debbie.

Clothes and a care bear from Uncle Mike and Aunt Linda.

Owen was hilarious with this drill. Once he opened it, he wouldn't put it down. It was battery powered, so he was having a hay day drilling everything- including trying to open this present from Great Grandma Hisey!

Arilyn liked the tools, too and Addison was chatting with Rapunzel on her new cell phone.

And of course, we had to do the crafts the very next day!
