The Friend Party

Arilyn didn't really know a lot of kids in her kindergarten class yet because they were only in school for a week before her birthday, so she just wanted to invite the kids from our neighborhood, which was fine with me! We played some games, had a pinata, and cake and ice cream. It was low key and really nice! We had to revamp the games a little bit because of Arilyn's arm, but I think everyone enjoyed it!

This is one of our neighbors, Ava, playing the waiter game. They had to carry the ball on the plate down and back without the ball falling off. It was pretty funny!

The kids asked at the beginning of this game if they were allowed to use both hands. Arilyn said- that's not fair, I can't use both hands! It was funny. She did pretty good with just one hand. In the background is Elizabeth's brother, Bobby. He was really good carrying it like an actual waiter!

Here's Molly, Emma's little sister. She turns 4 next month and was having a rough day. She didn't feel like participating in the games, so she just played with the cart.

The next game was the ball squeeze. They had to hold a ball back to back and walk down and back without dropping the ball. This game was hilarious!

It took Addison and Emma a few tries to figure it out, but then they got the hang of it!

The last game was a blind folded Mr. Potato Head. It was pretty funny, but they did a lot better than I thought they would.

Addison was the only one who didn't pay attention to which hole she was putting what in. Hers looked funny. She had an arm coming out the eye hole. It was pretty good!

And finally, the pinata. Arilyn using her one arm. She didn't do much damage.
