The Boston Children's Museum

We spent the 4th of July in Boston. It's a really fun city. We went to the Children's museum and the girls had a blast. It is a 3 floor museum with just about everything. 

This was the Bubble Room. A whole room devoted to bubbles. Arilyn loved this room.

This was a cool thing. You stepped on a pedal that made a blade go around to make a tornado. It was really loud and in normal Arilyn fashion... the ears were covered.

This room was specifically for 3 and under. Addison had a good time playing with a huge train table. I think she was just happy to be out of the stroller!

This was a climbing wall. You were supposed to keep going sideways until you reached the finish line. I fell off as soon as this was taken. It was really hard!

Construction zone! This room had everything to do with construction. These huge tunnels were everywhere. Addison would crawl from one to the other and then go back again!

This was the China exhibit. Arilyn wanted to get on and ride this ox.

This was a climbing thing that started on the first floor and went all the way to the third floor. Arilyn didn't go very far. She has a tendency to get scared when she gets so high, so we didn't let her go too far, but she really liked it. Shawn really wanted to climb in it, but there weren't any other adults in it, so he wasn't sure he was allowed. He was pretty disappointed.

This was hilarious- you pulled this rope down as far as you could and when you let go a gust of air would pop a tennis ball up in the air. How far the tennis ball went depended on how far you pulled the rope. Arilyn was pulling so hard and went down on her knees to hold it. 

This is Addison's cranky face. Arilyn was playing with the tennis ball thing and Addison was ready to go eat dinner. 

This part of the museum was called Kid Power. Everything dealt with being active. You sat in the seat and pulled the rope to lift yourself up. Arilyn needed a lot of help from Daddy.

And of course, Shawn had to try it out, too!
