Sesame Place

Addison trying to jump on Ernie's bed. She got trampled on right before this by another little boy, so she was a little timid after that.
There was an area where 2 characters stayed most of the day and you could see them and get your picture taken with them. This was the first day- Addison was very timid around Big Bird- he was pretty big! Arilyn wouldn't even get out of the stroller!
By the second day, however, Addison was feeling a bit more comfortable and actually gave Elmo a hug! And although Arilyn was more comfortable, too, she still didn't want to get close.

Next we went to the flying fish. Here's Arilyn having a good time.

We had breakfast with Elmo on the second day. Of course, the rest of the characters were there. It was really fun and the girls really liked it. Here's Addison and Bert.

Arilyn was out of her seat, so Zoe sat down with us.
Addison was so excited. She even shared her Fruit Loops with her!
Finally, Arilyn started to warm up and liked sitting with Zoe.
Big Bird was, well...big, so the girls were still a little shy around him.

After breakfast was over, Arilyn couldn't wait to get to the water stuff. This is her waiting in line with Shawn for one of the water slides.

Next we went to Ernie's splash zone. We spent a lot of time here.

Then we went to the tide pool. We spent a lot of time here, too. As you can see, Addison was having a good time!

We went on the carousel. Arilyn had to ride the pink and purple horse.

This was called Cookie Mountain, basically just a big pyramid thing that the kids climbed up then slid back down. Arilyn and Addison had a pretty good time!

Arilyn made it all the way to the top most of the time, but Addison liked the sliding part more, so she never made it to the top. She'd climb up a little way then let go so she'd slide back down.

and Arilyn is still smiling at the end! She loved the roller coaster! As soon as they got off, she ran to me saying- Can we ride it again?? And they did!
Of course we had to bring a friend home. They both picked Zoe!
Ohio Visit
My mom had those balloons with the rubber bands on them to play with. The girls had a lot of fun with them.

I wasn't thinking that the girls would be doing any swimming in Ohio, so I sent their swimsuits home with Shawn. My sister-in-law asked if we wanted to go to West Branch State Park with her and my nieces, so we went and the girls had fun swimming in their clothes! This is Arilyn pouring a bucket of water on my niece Benita's head.
Addison just tossed a shovel full of sand in the air and it landed on her head!

There were boats and jet skis our further in the lake and the waves from them would come to shore. Addison loved it and was laughing when they almost knocked her over. Right after I took this picture, she tried to get down in the water like Arilyn & Melinda. A wave came in and hit her right in the face! She didn't like that too well, but it was hilarious!
COSI in Columbus
A few friends that I used to work with in Dayton met us in Columbus and we spent some time at COSI. The kids had a good time, but it was a little stressful keeping an eye on everyone. We each had 2 kids and it seemed like they were always going in opposite directions!
This was one of Arilyn's favorite things- air was coming out of the holes and would suspend the ball in mid air.

For some reason, I didn't get a picture of Brittney, but this is her daughter Anna playing with Arilyn.
And this is where we spent the majority of our time- the water table. I had to stop Addison- she had taken off her shoes and had her leg up trying to climb on the table!
This is my friend Brittney's son, Grant. He's a little upset with me in this picture- he was drinking the water and I told him not to. He wouldn't smile for me after that.

Back at My Mom's
Since Addison's birthday is right around the corner, my mom had a little celebration for her. She's trying to blow out the candles.
And they finally went out.
She was very excited about her cake.

We were in Ohio for about 5 days. The girls were completely off their schedules and everyone was tired, but it didn't matter how late we got to bed- this is the face I woke up to every morning! No matter how early it was (sometimes as early as 6am!)- how could you not love this face!
